Partner with our social enterprise the Fresh Food Project

The Fresh Food Project helps make quality fresh produce more affordable and accessible, working with universities, councils and community organisations to bring fresh food closer to the people who struggle to afford it.

And every purchase goes further, with revenue reinvested into The One Box to help support families experiencing hardship.

A certified social enterprise

The Fresh Food Project is a Social Traders certified social enterprise, combining a sustainable trading model with a clear social purpose.

Making fresh food
more accessible

The Fresh Food Project was launched in 2021 to help address a simple challenge: fresh food may be available, but that doesn’t always mean it is affordable or easy to access.

By working with universities, councils and community organisations, the Fresh Food Project brings quality fresh produce into places people already visit and helps make it available at significantly reduced prices.

Fresh produce is offered at approximately 50% below retail prices, with options including pre-packed boxes and bulk produce depending on the needs of each partner and community.

Who is the Fresh Food
Project for?

The Fresh Food Project works through schools, universities, councils and community organisations to make affordable fresh produce available to the communities they support.

It is not a direct food relief service and does not provide fresh food directly to individuals or households. Orders must be placed by an eligible organisation or program.

How it works

1

We partner

We work with universities, councils and community organisations to understand what will work best for their community.

2

We source

Quality seasonal fruit and vegetables are sourced through an established fresh food supply network, helping us offer produce to participating organisations at approximately 50% of the recommended retail price.

3

We make fresh food easier to access

Produce can be provided through flexible models including pre-packed boxes and bulk fresh produce, helping partners bring affordable fresh food closer to their communities.

4

Families are nourished and connected

Revenue generated through the Fresh Food Project is reinvested into The One Box, helping support our school-based program.
