We are pleased to announce the release of The One Box 2022 Annual Report. Our mission to help alleviate food insecurity reached new heights in 2022, as we proudly distributed over 1 million kilograms of nutritious fresh fruit, vegies and staples to over 2,500 households in need. Working with a dedicated network of 97 partner schools and community organisations enabled us to provide approximately 115,000 fresh food boxes to those experiencing hardship on a weekly basis.
This year’s annual report provides a snapshot into what makes The One Box program financially efficient, and the ways in which our charity is disrupting fresh food relief in Australia. By leveraging the existing national supply chain and infrastructure of The Fruit Box Group and improving our internal efficiencies, we were able to convert every $1 donation into almost $2 of fresh food in the hands of recipients. In doing so, The One Box not only reached more families but consistently provided them with more than $25 RRP worth of high-quality produce they otherwise could not access.
As a charity committed to helping more people access fresh food, The One Box continued to expand the Fresh Food Project. Certified by Social Traders in 2022, the Fresh Food Project works with universities, charities, councils, and community organisations to provide affordable, high-quality fresh produce and staples at approximately 50% of the recommended retail value.

By offering food relief programs to all students, we hope to reduce some of the inequalities international students face.”

With the growth of our social enterprise and the gracious support of our donors and corporate partners, The One Box will continue to assist upwards of 2,500 households on an ongoing basis in 2023.
